Reaction#6

When I was reading the chapter 5 today two things have grabbed my attention.

First of all, “ That’s part of what I like about the book in some ways. It portrays death truthfully. You die in the middle of your life, in the middle of the sentence”(page 67). In one of my book reaction I said that I was surprised that Hazel has read a book which has no ending million times, and there was no clear explanation for why she is reading this book again and again. However, after I read that quote, I could understand her viewpoint toward reading that book which end in the middle of a sentence.

Secondly, “ Nothing to be gained by worrying between now and then. And yet still I worried. I liked being a person. I wanted to keep at it”.(page 65)
This shows that despite Hazel's suffering and pain, she will fight and will not give up.
I really liked this quote because people should live and think about the moment that they are living in and stop worrying about the days that have not come yet.

  1. I am really impressed the second quotation. Even though I am not facing any harsh pain or death, I can encourage myself with that quotation.

  2. The first quote sounds deep and dark! but it is true though.

I like her reality when she said " yet still I worried" which means even though I should not worried because nothing deserve so, I am still a person! and I like being one!
